The context

Millions of Brazilian micro-entrepreneurs face the same routine: issue a tax slip, declare revenue, keep the company compliant. MaisMei condenses all of it into a single app. I joined the team to evolve the product on both platforms, moving between native iOS code and the React Native base as each feature demanded.

Decisions that were mine

1. 01SwiftUI where the iOS experience deserved to be native

   Not everything should cross the bridge. System-feeling flows — settings screens, Apple ecosystem interactions — got dedicated SwiftUI implementations, while the rest of the product stayed in RN.

2. 02State discipline with MobX in tax-critical flows

   An issued slip, a submitted declaration, a paid installment: tax states tolerate no ambiguity. I worked the state layer so every document had an explicit lifecycle, from draft to confirmation.

Where it landed

New features delivered to production for a nationwide base of micro-entrepreneurs, with the app active on both stores.
